Wave Knitting uses contemporary and traditional techniques to create movement in knitted fabric.
In this workshop you will learn:

• Fundamental Wave Knitting techniques
  
• How to read a Wave Knitting pattern and chart
  
• Create the York River wrap using Wave Knitting techniques
  

Materials provided to you are;

• York River Wave Knitting Wrap Pattern, written and chart
  
• Yarn
  
• Circular knitting needles
  

Total materials cost: $20
All knitting levels welcome.  If you have never knitted before, please contact [email protected] for basic knitting tutorials prior to the workshop.

JULY 11,  1 pm to 4 pm
Rails End Gallery and Art Centre / Haliburton Country Farmer's Market.  Head Lake Park in Haliburton.
Spinning Art Yarn, Felting + Weaving work-in-progress demonstration and free lessons.
Please come by to say hello! I'll be the one with the spinning wheel demonstrating how you can make your own art yarn and fibre arts at home.
You will learn;
♦how to create your own hand spun art yarn on a drop spindle
♦how to weave with art yarn
♦how to needle felt on a form (perfect Christmas ornaments and gifts)
I have limited art supplies and materials to purchase at the market, so please come early to get your drop spindle, wool, felting forms. Free felting needle or weaving needle with every drop spindle or bag of wool purchase.
